Adding to the proverbial light-at-the-end-of-the-tunnel in the world of eco-friendly solutions, the researchers at Waiakea Volcanic Hawaiian Water have announced the revolutionary next stage in their eco-friendly initiatives to help save planet earth: truly degradable plastic bottles.
Using a new technological additive called TimePlast® and nano-degradable processes, what normally would take 1,500 years to break down a plastic bottle, is now done in little less than 15 years. In short, the bottle is now broken down chemically instead of letting nature run its full course.
Waiakea’s eco-friendly initiatives, must be said, already produce plastic bottles produced from totally recycled bottles.
The Volcanic Waiakea Explosion
What makes a young 22-year old entrepreneur start a venture that would explode into a whopping 4,000 percent growth rate in little over three years? A slogan-driven, eco-friendly initiative that basically says, “drink health, drink sustainably and drink ethically.” Ryan Emmons, now 25, not only implemented a values-oriented product on the local market of Hawaii, he created a branding component quite similar to RedBull.Going from 2,304 cases to 122,400 cases sold annually, Waiakea has experienced an annual growth rate of 170 percent. With an extremely robust valuation of $10 million, and 10 million square miles of ocean Waiakea is poised on the cutting edge of something dynamic.
Endless Pristine Water Supply
Originating from the pristine and snow capped peak of the Mauna Loa volcano, Waiakea Hawaiian Volcanic water is rich in electrolyte and alkaline minerals. Scientifically recognized to support the balance of fluids in the body, this fact helps position Waiakea as a health drink if there ever was one.
Waiakea’s Outreach Initiatives
Partnering with PumpAid, 650ML of clean water finds its way to disadvantaged rural communities on the African continent. As such, 500 million liters of water have already found their way to Africa via the PumpAid and Waiakea’s partnership.
